EthicsA Walk in the Park Unschooling Group believes in showing kindness and gentleness to all people and creatures. We believe that children learn best by our example. There is a poem that talks about how children learn the most from us when we think they are not looking at what we are doing. There is a lot of wisdom in those words. Mission StatementA Walk in the Park Unschooling Group was formed as a way for compassionate unschoolers/relaxed homeschoolers to meet and socialize. We welcome all, regardless of beliefs. However, intentional harm inflicted upon another person or upon any part of the created order will not be tolerated at the group or co-op activities. |
Welcome...Welcome to a Walk in the Park Unschooling Group. A Walk in the Park is dedicated to the idea that children learn best when they are not forced or coerced. We believe that children possess a God-given curiosity that enables them to learn. A Walk in the Park Unschooling Group is founded on Christian principles; everyone of all beliefs is encouraged to join. If you would like to meet with other relaxed homeschoolers, please contact me, Kandy Crosby-Hastings. If you live in the Salina area and would like more information on joining our parent group/unschooling co-op, please contact me at coramdeo_intheeyesofGod@yahoo.com.
